Finally made it to Oji Mi! What a beautiful meal, excellent execution, and wow… top quality ingredients. The duck was flawless no sinew perfectly rendered fat and crispy skin. The plates are small. But the entire experience is quite filling. The team here really knows their roots and makes sure all the bases are covered for the traditional flavors of Korea. The service was excellent and attentive, explaining each course, and all courses were served beautifully and with care and great pride. We sat in the main dining room, and I had a full view of the kitchen. Was very entertaining to see how calm and purposeful the kitchen performed for a full restaurant!
Everything is so well put together and the flavors are colorful and intricate. The modern but retro decor in the restaurant gives the whole experience a bougie feel and overall making the entire experience!
Nice fixed menu dinner dishes. The non alcohol drink pair is interesting to me and i like the first sparkling tea. Pumpkin dish tastes really good, so is the fish. My friend really likes the ice cream.
The only thing is sitting in the dinning area is a little noisy. You wont have a quiet place for talking.
You probably wont feel full though… adjust your expectations if you are super hungry
Amazing dining experience as a whole. Great food, great service, and the space was very aesthetic. Their tasting menu is well thought out and they give you options for each course to fit your liking. My personal favorite was the lobster ramyun and the donuts for dessert. Highly recommend going for a special occasion as it is pricey.
We had the 5 course prix-fixe menu with an excellent wine and tea pairing. Everything was delicious including the cocktails. Highly recommend the Chili Lobster Ramyun and Chapssal Donuts. Great service and vibes.
Quite literally one of the best restaurant experiences ever. Outstanding genuine and warm service (I mean, open hand service - come on. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed). Food knocks it out of the park and beyond - complex, refined and elegant without being stuffy. Drinks are among some of the best I’ve had and better than most cocktail bars - layered, balanced and smooth. Decor is great. It is fine dining without the pretension - where you can relax, enjoy and get taken on a fun culinary journey. It was my second time here (prix fixe both times) and everything has been consistently amazing. Will be back!!! Well done! Shout out to Phil and Steven, our servers, who were both awesome!
Where to start, Oiji Mi is one of the best restaurants we visited in NYC. We had pretty high standards of Korean contemporary foods since we've been to lots of creative Korean restaurants in LA, but this place is phenomenal. Ambient is luxurious and sophisticated but not pretentious. Great wine list, a lot of good drinks that go well with food. Food presentation and service are impeccable. Every course is so so delicious they really capture the traditional taste of Korean food. When we come back to NYC, will definitely revisit this restaurant.
Holiday special menu on Christmas Eve. They had my table 1 hour before actual reservation. All of the food was great. They ask for any dietary restrictions in the beginning; someone in my party mentioned no cucumbers, but we did find cucumber in one of her dishes later on. Otherwise, overall great experience and will visit again.
